Graduation Requirements
A total of 230 credits are required in the following subjects:
English - 40 Credits (4 years)
Mathematics - 30 Credits (3 years; Int. Math I & Int. Math II are required)
Integrated Math I and Integrated Math II required. Math courses taken must advance sequentially.
- All students will be placed in a 4th year math course to prepare students for college level mathematics.
- Recommendations Approved by Sanger Unified School District- Financial Math will suffice for one of the three required courses in mathematics taken only during Senior year. It cannot be used in place of Integrated I or Integrated II.
Social Studies - 30 Credits (3 years)
Science - 30 Credits (3 years)
- 1-year Physical Science
- 1-year Life Science
- 1-year additional science (Physical or Life)
Physical Education - 20 Credits (2 years)
*All freshmen are required to be enrolled in a Physical Education class during their freshman year. (E.C. 51222(a), E.C. 51241(b), E.C. 60800(a). This also applies to students who took PE in summer school prior to their freshman year.
Foreign Language, Fine Arts or CTE course - 10 Credits (1 year)
Electives - 70 Credits
The following number of credits towards high school graduation will be the standard for minimum achievement:
Sophomore Fall Semester: 60 Credits (beginning of Sophomore Year) | Senior Fall Semester: 170 Credits (beginning of Senior Year) |
Sophomore Spring Semester: 90 Credits | Senior Spring Semester: 200 Credits |
Junior Fall Semester: 120 Credits (beginning of Junior Year) | Required for Graduation: 230 Credits |
Junior Spring Semester: 150 Credits |
A student who does not achieve the necessary number of credits by the end of each semester is not on track to graduate.
Maintain an overall 2.0 GPA for all classes taken.

Seniors are required to pass the senior exit interview. Students will prepare for their exit interviews during their senior English class by creating a senior portfolio. Senior Exit Interviews will take place during the spring semester.
Students are required to complete 15 volunteer hours during their senior year.
