ROTC Scholarships at 4-Year Universities

ROTC stands for Reserve Officer Training Corps.  It is a college program offered at more than 1,000 colleges and universities across the United States that prepares young adults to become officers in the U.S. Military. In exchange for a paid college education and a guaranteed post-college career, cadets commit to serve in the Military after graduation. When enrolled in ROTC you learn first-hand what it takes to lead others, motivate groups and how to conduct missions as a military officer.  If interested, meet with a recruiter during your junior year to learn more about the application process.

To view a list of colleges with ROTC Programs, please visit your desired branch’s website, and use the “College Locator”.

*Fresno State has an Air Force ROTC Program, and an Army ROTC program. Both offer scholarships to incoming college freshmen.

Military Academies

Service Academies are 4-year Universities dedicated to training the next top military leaders in our country.

Requirements vary per academy, but please note that you cannot gain admission to a service academy without an SAT/ACT score, and a congressional nomination. This nomination helps ensure a wide range of students from throughout our nation attend the service academies. It’s best to start applying for nomination your Junior Year, as it increases the likelihood that you will obtain it. Our Local Congressman hosts an informational event, yearly, in early September. Visit thier website for more information.

There is also an annual “Academy Night” in the Fresno/Clovis Area students can attend. Information will be sent out on Remind when dates are released.

Explore the following links for more information about each Service Academy.
