Our school partners with district programs and community organizations to support students’ social-emotional development, wellness, and overall success. Through SEL instruction, wellness services, restorative practices, and community partnerships, students receive preventative and ongoing support aligned with a whole-child approach. The resources available to students are listed below.
Wellness Center
The Wellness Center is a designated area on the Sanger West campus where students can access social-emotional support and resources when needed.
The Wellness Center offers a quiet location where students can utilize coping strategies when they are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stressed.
The Wellness Center also offers school psychologists and school counselors who are available to speak with students in order to best support their mental health needs along their academic journey.
The Wellness Center team is able to connect parents with resources they may need so they can secure further social-emotional support outside of the school system.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)
NAMI on Campus High School Club (NCHS) was created to make the climate on high school campuses supportive and more accepting of people with mental illness, while also educating students and faculty about mental health. Studies have shown that stigma is the greatest barrier to college students seeking help for a mental health condition. Our goal is to reduce stigma at a younger age to better position young people to address their mental health concerns earlier on and create lifelong advocates.
